Spray foam services in Roswell
These are the jobs licensed installers actually bid in Chaves County. Each page explains how that foam type is mixed, where it goes on the building, and what a quote should name. We match you with those installers. We do not spray the foam.
How spray foam works, in brief
Spray polyurethane foam is two liquids — an isocyanate “A” side and a polyol resin “B” side — heated, pumped, and mixed at a gun. The mix expands in seconds, fills the cavity it was aimed at, and cures into a plastic that both insulates and air-seals. Open-cell foam stays soft and vapor-open. Closed-cell foam stays rigid and becomes a vapor retarder. Hybrid jobs use both.
The chemistry is the same in Albuquerque or Roswell. The specification is not. High-desert sun, low outdoor humidity, 100°F afternoons, and January nights near 23°F decide whether an attic wants open-cell under the roof deck or a crawl wants closed-cell against soil moisture. Read the page for the part of the house you are trying to fix, then request quotes.
Open-cell
Soft, vapor-open foam that expands into irregular cavities and air-seals attics and interior walls.
Closed-cell
Denser foam with higher R-value per inch and a vapor retarder — typical for crawls, rim joists, and metal buildings.
Hybrid
A closed-cell base layer for R-value and vapor control, then open-cell to finish thickness at a lower cost.
Attic
Foam at the attic floor or under the roof deck to stop 140°F attic heat from cooking the rooms below.
Crawl space
Closed-cell on floors or stem walls plus a ground cover to stop winter floor chill and soil moisture.
Walls
Open-stud spraying on new work, or injection into finished cavities, to seal leaky 2x4 ranch walls.
Rim joist
A short closed-cell pass at the band joist, where the floor meets the foundation and outdoor air sneaks in.
Garage
Foam on shared walls, ceilings, and garage attics so a hot or dusty garage does not leak into the house.
Metal buildings
Closed-cell on steel shops, barns, and agricultural buildings to cut condensation and temperature swing.
New construction
Open-wall spraying before drywall, when cavities are empty and an installer can hit a specified R-value cleanly.
